Welcome to Growing Minds, where farming and nature become opportunities for children to learn, connect and grow. Through engaging agricultural experiences, children discover where their food comes from while building curiosity, patience, responsibility, resilience and kindness.

Growing Minds is an interactive science and wellness program that helps children discover how plants grow, where food comes from and how time spent in nature can support healthy minds, strong communities and lifelong learning.
Created by The Pumpkin Delivery and MO-AG Sisters, Growing Minds combines hands-on agricultural experience, child advocacy, pediatric nursing insight and age-appropriate learning for preschool through fifth-grade students.

Children learn many of life’s most meaningful lessons through nature. A seed requires time, care and the right conditions to grow—and children do too.
Growing Minds uses farming, gardening and seasonal changes to make science engaging while encouraging curiosity, patience, responsibility and connection.
Growing Minds programs can be adapted for preschool through fifth grade, with information and activities selected to match the students’ ages and learning goals.
Programs may be a good fit for:

Growing Minds brings together science, agriculture, wellness and social-emotional learning in a way children can understand and remember.
Students are encouraged to ask questions, make observations and recognize that growth takes time—whether they are caring for a plant, learning a new skill or growing through a difficult season.

While pumpkins offer a wonderful way to explore the growing cycle in the fall, Growing Minds extends throughout the year.
Seasonal programs can explore new growth in spring, pollinators and garden life in summer, harvest and agriculture in fall, and nature’s periods of rest and renewal in winter.
Share the students’ ages, group size, location and the topics you would like to explore.
We’ll help identify an age-appropriate program that complements your educational or community goals.
Students participate in an engaging experience that connects agriculture, nature, community and well-being.
Our personal and professional experience have shown us how important it is for children to feel connected, capable and supported. Annie’s background in agriculture, horticulture and child advocacy, together with Jeannine’s experience in pediatric nursing, inspired us to create a program that reflects our shared commitment to education, well-being and meaningful community connection.
Through the lessons found in farming—patience, responsibility, resilience and care—we hope to help children understand where their food comes from, connect with nature and recognize that every living thing grows in its own season.
